Always Use the “Home” Template When Creating New Pages
Use this block of code to start your page. You can adjust the column widths to any percentage/fraction as long as they add up to one across a row. By using this code with the “Home” Template, you will ensure that you can have text in columns with a large margin on the sides as well as utilize the full width color banners shown below. If you use a different template, it may not allow the full width color banners to stretch to the edge of page.
Don’t forget the non-breaking space code at the very top. This will move the content down away from the header image and make sure the page matches the rest of the pages already built. See below for various other short codes you will need to code new page.
Below are some options for full width color banners with an image on 1/2 of the bar. To measure how big you need to make your image, use your screenshot tool to measure the space needed for it to fill up on the browser window. Double that pixel size. Fade off the inside edge using the masking tool. Add the background color using the correct hex value and save for web as a JPG High. JPGs are smaller images than PNGs, so we would like to use JPGs. Below are some options for full width color banners with a background images, like the one used on the top of the home page. These have a headline, subhead, body copy, and a button, but can me modified to fit what you need.
